Theodora is the matriarch of a family that has grown into a bunch of truculent knuckleheads. While she's finally gotten them all together in South Carolina to celebrate, this Christmas looks nothing like the extravagant, homey holidays of her childhood.

Sweet, Simple, Satisfying
The book is a short, fun read. Physically, the book has a wonderful tactile feel; pretty sleeve art on a squarish, small-sized hard cover. The paper used for the reading pages on the product I recieved was heavier weight with "antiqued" torn...

In the Tradition of Dickens
This wonderful story truly is in the Christmas story tradition Dickens set over a hundred years ago. The story contains a great message. There is a ghostly visitor. At the story's end hearts are changed and conflicts resolved.

Dorthea Frank is my absolute favorite author, and have had many laughs, and will cherish the memories of her books. But, yes,,, but,,, I just can't get interested in this book. I decorated all weekend, put up several trees, lit a fire, made hot...
