"Unaware a word processing program could provoke me so"

Like most people in the world of administrative office work, I had used Microsoft Office for about everything for many years of my life. Now, I'm back in school and the computer labs on campus have this fancy new Office 2007. I have been unable to

"A real productivity killer, and SLOW."

I have been using a word processor since DOS and WordStar. I have no need for the "extra features" of Word 2007. Microsoft has no respect for the value of its customer's time. Who needs an upgrade that requires relearning basic program functions. I n

"Worthless. What was Microsoft thinking?"

I am an attorney. I currently use Word 2003 and I have used every version of Word since 2.0 on a daily basis. I recently purchased Office 2007 for use on home computers by my children and to evaluate for an upgrade in my office. This will NEVER be

"Stifling the urge to defenestrate my computer"

The GUI is so horribly bad that it overwhelms whatever good features MS has managed to put into Word 2007. Taking a product built around a standardized interface that has served users for nearly 20 years and radically changing it without adequate in

"Don't have time to relearn everything..."

I don't remember ever having a difficult time using a Microsoft product. I'm sure the wealth of customizable features could be great if you had the time to learn every inch. But it just doesn't work too well when you jump on a new computer and try

"If it aint' broke don't fix it."

If I wanted to learn an entire new word processor I would have gotten something from an entirely different manufacturer. Whoevers idea it was to completely reinvent a perfectly good software program should be fired. It shouldn't take forever to compl

"Not user friendly for those with previous MS experience"

I have been an Office user for almost 10 years and loved it (not a MS hater). I wrote extensive documents with complicated formats using 2000 and 2003 and never really had a problem figuring things out, but whoever said 2007 was a good upgrade must'

"Stupid .docx format that my other computers can't read"

It sucks. These stupid docx files dropped 6 points off my rating. Also, it's kinda hard to use. I prefer my older version of MS word because at least I can use it faster. The difficulty of use dropped another 2 points. Don't waste your money.
