PROS: XP Professional has lots more functions than the lame Home Edition, with THIS you have MORE CONTROL on what can be done on your system. I like the 'permissions' options, very flexible and adjustable.
CONS: Lack of user account capabilities.

PROS: if your looking for a fast and stable windows system xp seems to be the best yet ..xp takes away complications with 2000 98 and 95 if you have xp already you should stick with it its not worth upgrading to vista its way to slow compared to xp..
CONS: none at all except when upgrading to xp sp3 it crashed the system which was a bit of a downside could be just microsoft trying to makes more money!!by getting you to buy a repair disc (if you dont have 1)

PROS: Blazing fast if updated to 2009 latest, tremendously snappy and stable when updates are integrated into install-images. There are amazing custom copies available out there in the wild.
CONS: Sometimes hard to find drivers, but usually the Vista 64 bit drivers work 100% when installed manually. Some manufacturers do not distribute for this OS, which is stupid.
