I bought this to upgrade a Win 2000 pc because we bought a couple of new Ipods. This is not the right product, it did not even try to do the install. It looks like I will have to buy the full version for twice as much.

I like XP. Why go Vista? Why do they keep upgrading the product so often? I know it's all about money, but if there are no significant improvements, they don't need to distribute new product. Plus, I can't play my old WIN 95 games/programs....

It's XP. It was fairly easy to install but didn't format more than one sector. The screensaver works intermittently. That being said it runs much faster than Vista and makes a good little second computer OS.
