So far... So Wonderful!
I tread very cautiously into the world of Windows Vista... Had waited until this date (08/30/08) to take "the plunge"... I use an iMac with Bootcamp... First impression upon instaling Vista is "I'M SUPER IMPRESSED"... Smooth installation, smooth...

"Not as bad as others make it out to be."
Windows Vista is everything consumers asked for in a new Windows, which was stability and security enhancements. However, in order to get those promises, Microsoft killed performance badly. Even on a Macbook with the latest chipset and SP 1, it still
PROS: MUCH more stable than Windows XP. Business edition offers excellent connectivity to networks, even better than OS X in my opinion. Aero UI is eye-pleasing.
CONS: We traded security for speed. Some drivers don't work still. Expensive as hell!

"Never mind my handle -- Vista is not that bad"
Say what you will about Microsoft, but Windows Vista is all right. I replaced XP Professional with Vista Business on my MacBook (soon thereafter, I replaced OS X Tiger with Leopard), and I have to say, even though it's a Microsoft product, I'm still
PROS: Awesome, sleek interface; reasonable software compatibility; friendlier networking; enhanced security
CONS: Some compatibility issues; performance hog; hefty machine needed

"Very stable with few problems"
Vista Business is far less trouble prone then XP Business. This OS is very solid with few errors and bugs. Microsoft has done a fine job with this OS despite a few start up problems. I think the net has some catching up to do before it's full capabil
PROS: Vista Business is a considerable improvement over XP Business
CONS: had a few problems at the onset, has a few bugs still in it

"Stay Away!"
I am amazed that MS has a system out there for business that to date does not do one thing faster or better than the previous OS (XP). I've yet to find an advantage over XP from a business standpoint. Vista may be fine for home multi-media use, but
PROS: None so far
CONS: Slow-Slow-Slow Not a good OS for Business Use

"It sucks, much worse than XP"
buy an Apple, OS 10.5...it just works, and everything I wish Vista should have been.
PROS: requires that you buy new expensive hardware
CONS: makes expensive hardware to run slow

Accurate Review from a Masters-Level, 18-Year IT Professional
Do NOT believe all the knee-jerk garbage you're hearing about Vista, as 90% of it is being pulled out of thin air by people who obviously never even tried it. Linux and Apple trolls scour the internet for chances to add negative reviews to an...

It Really Is That Bad
I wouldn't have bought it voluntarily, but a few months ago I needed a new notebook and had a hard time finding what I wanted with XP installed on it. So I took a chance on one with Vista. What I found is that the negative commentary about Vista...

"Windows Vista Business is not worth purchasing."
I used this system for over a year and I found it quite annoying to use. Anything that it useful is buried under other programs that are useless. It was nice to have Internet Explorer 7 pre-installed; however, Internet Explorer 7 is one of the worst
PROS: This system is easy to adjust to from Windows xp.
CONS: It is a bulky system to use: the interface is confusing and anything that is worthwhile is buried under other programs.
