Vista has had mucho bad press, but it is more stable than XP in my experience. Runs most 32-bit software without a hitch. Some lack of drivers from some manufacturers should make you do your homework: You may need to replace some...

I saw that the system requirements allowed for a 64-bit processor, so I bought this for my new 64-bit machine. I previously bought the 64-bit OEM version, but I wanted to be able to upgrade my motherboard w/out buying a new OEM version...

A little over a year after the first appearance of Vista, Service Pack 1 (SP1) is nearly ready for download. [There have been a couple of release snafus, including the accidental release , on 2/21/08, of the 64-bit version.??Editor] ....
