This is a well written book with short,to the point bits of information. Think of it as a "Swiss Army" type of book, chock full of the informative 'bits' of info that distinguish a mariner form the landllubber. It's a quick study and...

I am fairly new to boating and found this dictionary style book to be a good reference. All terms provide a true definition as well as some useful history. Worth the read.

This book has some definitions but, for the experienced boater, its a waste of shelf space. The "rules of thumb" are too brief to have any real value.
