Ideal for winter hiking or snowshoeing, Komperdell's Titanal Power Lock Compact trekking poles offer features that cater to gloved hands. Streamlined, compact grips are designed specifically for smaller hands. Constructed of strong, lightweight Titanal alloy, Titanal Power Lock Compact trekking poles provide rugged reliability at a weight that won't slow you down. Far easier to adjust than telescoping poles with internal locking mechanisms, the external locks of the Titanal Power Lock are especially convenient for winter use. Rather than requiring the dexterity for micro-adjustments of internally-locking poles, Titanal Power Lock Compact poles can be manipulated without any need to \remove gloves, eliminating the risk of exposure to snow, wind and cold. Contoured Compact EVA foam grips are reduced in size from traditional grips, lending an ergonomic, comfortable handhold for smaller hands. A textured G'reptile grip zone extends beyond the foam grips of the Titanal Power Lock Compact poles, offering a glove-friendly secondary grip zone that allows you to adjust where you grasp the poles and eliminates the need to shorten or extend the poles each time you encounter a steep slope. Integrated straps help to reduce stress on your wrists. Though far lighter than steel, the Titanal alloy employed by Titanal Power Lock poles is comparable in strength. In addition, Titanal is highly resistant to abrasion and corrosion. The Tungsten/Carbide tips provide traction on unimproved surfaces and protect the shafts of the poles from structural damage by flexing if and when poles get stuck between rocks or in cracks. A pair of Vario touring baskets (included) offers a broader diameter than standard baskets and provides improved traction in snow and on ice.
