Linksys Group iPhone CIT400 Dual-Mode Cordless Internet Telephony Kit with Skype Linksys Group i Phone C I T 400 DualMode Cordless Internet Telephony Kit with Skype The iPhone CIT400 Dual-Mode Cordless Internet Telephony Kit with Skype from Linksys is a unique telephone that gives you all the convenience of a cordless handset and the functionality and features of both Skype and traditional telephone service. Using this handset you no longer have to sit at your computer to use your Skype service. The base unit plugs into your computer via a USB connection and to your traditional telephone line with a standard telephone cable. Once it is connected, just use the LCD display to choose whether to call from your phone line or through Skype. This unit supports SkypeIn and SkypeOut services, allowing you to receive telephone calls from a standard telephone number or make calls to traditional phone lines. This handset also supports call waiting, caller ID, and can be used with Skype's optional voicemail service. Other features include a mute button for privacy, a speakerphone, and the ability use your system as an intercom by expanding the base station, which will support up to (4) handsets. This unit encrypts voice signals for maximum security. Fully charged this unit offers 120 hours of standby time and 10 hours of talk time. works very well but you need to dedicate a pc connection. no vista support i put an old xp laptop aside for the purpose, since cisco does not provide vista support for this (sold as new) product.
