Bogen / Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Legs (Black) - Supports 11 lbs (5 kg)

From: $159.00

Bogen / Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Legs (Black) Bogen / Manfrotto 190 X P R O B Tripod Legs (Black) The Bogen/Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Legs builds on the success of the 3001 series and replaces the 3001PRO model. Its horizontal center column feature has been redesigned to make it even easier to flip from vertical to horizontal. Now, by extending the column to its highest vertical position, it can be swung over to horizontal without removing the head or disassembling the column itself. The ergonomics of the leg-angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks have also been improved. While it can reach a maximum working height of 57.5 ( 146 cm ), it can also be used as low as 3.3 ( 8.5 ) by using the low angle adapter built-in to the center column. Ideal for use with cameras up to SLR size with medium pro zoom lens attached. At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.

This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

From: Amazon Posted: Aug 16, 2008 Type: User Review Rock Solid

Got this tripod together with the Manfroto Midi Ball Head for my Pentax K20D and related gear. It definitely bestows a high degree of confidence that this tripod will hold the most extensive of bodies and lenses without any issue. The tripod...

From: Amazon Posted: Aug 10, 2008 Type: User Review Sturdy and useful tripod for extended trips and field use

I bought this tripod for a trip from the USA to central Siberia in order to image the total solar eclipse there in Aug 2008. The tripod is a bit on the heavy side, but it is always worth having something a bit more on the heavy and sturdy side...

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 21, 2008 Type: User Review Great general purpose tripod

Bogen/Manfrotto has been making great tripods for a very long time. The 190XPROB is a variation on the old 3021 by Bogen.

Let me start by saying that this tripod is not the lightest tripod out there, it might not be a great choice...

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 14, 2008 Type: User Review Good prosumer tripod

This is my first real tripod since I got serious about photography. Its not the lightest out there, but its weight to quality ratio is probably one of the best. Good price and build quality. I will probably buy another tripod for traveling, as...

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 11, 2008 Type: User Review Works well - solid and usable

I purchased this tripod from Amazon as part of a combo set with a head (which was better value for money).

Over the past week, I've had a chance to really use it extensively, and here are my observations.

1) It fit very...

From: Amazon Posted: Apr 20, 2008 Type: User Review Just a Lightweight

The price was right but little else proved right once the tripod arrived.

The design quality of the unique horizontal, articulating center column was what drove me to purchase the unit but once unboxed; the overall build quality is...

From: Amazon Posted: Apr 15, 2008 Type: User Review Great Product, late delivery

I love the product. However, I paid for 2 day shipping because I needed two day shipping, not 4 or 5, which is what I ended up getting.

From: Amazon Posted: Apr 07, 2008 Type: User Review Simply Amazing!

Wow. I did some research on this tripod before purchasing it, but I hadn't realized just how amazing this thing is. It basically puts the camera on the ground. Works great for portraits, and I hadn't really used a tripod for anything besides long...

From: Amazon Posted: Mar 18, 2008 Type: User Review great tripod

I purchased the 190XPROB Tripod together with the 486RC2 Compact Ball Head. I'm very happy with the purchase. I had a cheap, lighter tripod for many years that required making multiple adjustments to orient your camera. Here the single...
