Very comprehensive

I like this book because it reviews pretty much all of the restaurants in the New Haven area. Usually when you buy restaurant guide books for Connecticut, they only cover a few restaurants for each town. This book covers expensive restaurants as well as cheap places.

it's the best thing out there

this is pretty much the only restaurant guide to new haven worth reading. the local newspapers are in bed with the restaurant owners, whereas the authors of "the menu" are totally independent, and seriously critical/rigorous about food, not to mention hilarious! they are probably the only local...
