This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

"Jury Still Out"
Used MS Office products for a million years, so the new interface was a shock to me. After using it for several weeks, I can find my way around fine, but I'm not sure this was a move up (I'm sure it was fund for the MS UI team to develop). I find i
PROS: Easy to install, seems faster than Office 2003
CONS: The new GUI - The Ribbon (Maybe)

"it takes some tuime to get used to"
In my opinion, office 2007 is okay, it just takes some time to get used to. There are more options than the previous version, but you have to get used to having designated tabs for each thing you want to do...i think microsoft wanted to mitigate havi
PROS: Cool interface
CONS: drastic change from office 2003

"I'm going against the grain- I LOVE OFFICE 2007!"
I have to disagree with most of the negative opinions. I'll admit, the first week that I used this, I thought "oh my god, why on earth would they make this obnoxious ribbon?"- It took me another minute to get rid of that damn Calibri font every time
PROS: user-friendly, functional, features greatly improved
CONS: learning curve, still a lot of people that need a plug in to read '07 files

"Stick to Office 2003 (esp. Excel) until improvements made."
Excel 2007 has lots of fancy formatting and some good new features (especially autofiltering and conditional formatting), but the replacement of toolbars with the "ribbon" was a big step backwards. Calc'n performance is also poor compared with Excel
PROS: Some good new features, but...
CONS: Poorly desighned user intterface (ie - the"Ribbon"), terrible calculation speed

"Office 2007 is crap"
2007 is a huge departure from 2003 in layout and flow and so a "learning curve" is expected. But 2007 is just a fundamentally flawed concept. The old customizable tool bars have been replaced by a massive ribbon that occupies more screen space with f
PROS: graphics enhancements

"Almost Perfect"
Packed full of features, but easy enough for basic everyday use. You could easily use it for professional work, or basic everyday work. MS Office 2007 has a very nice look, and is a great improvement over 2003. However, it is a bit pricey, and if
PROS: Has everything you will ever need, and more. Fairly Easy to navigate.
CONS: $$$. Takes a bit of re-learning

"1 giant step (backward) for mankind"
With this product, Microsoft seeks to assert its domination, telling users what they are allowed to do or prohibited from doing. You must follow their style in approaching tasks now. Sig Heil! They eliminated features on which I had come to rely.
PROS: none noted
CONS: Eliminates many power-user functions; eliminates toolbar customization; forces large button toolbar; difficult to find help answers; any help requires being online

"Awful, simply awful."
I have gone from being a power user of Word and PowerPoint to being completely lost. Hot keys, menus, toolbars, everything is different. What was Microsoft thinking? Do they have any contact with actual users? This is not a cleaner look. It is clutte
PROS: Absolutely none
CONS: Everything about it.

"Horrible UI, big icons waste screen real estate"
All of my resident micrsoft office knowledge has been wasted. It is taking forever to complete simple tasks because it is not intuitive where to find things. The sum total of wasted productivity worldwide must be the basis of a class action lawsuit
PROS: Pretty and colorful
CONS: User interface, thick icon bar adds a third toolbar row when two was sufficient before...waste of valueable screen real estate.

"It is NOT for the busy professional..."
I took a weekend to familiarize myself with the interfaces. The difference is that my living depends on my knowledge of the latest trends. For my business colleagues, Office 2007 would be too much change. Time is money. This one will take a quite a
PROS: It does have many great features.
