The Departed
At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

nice mix
This is a great soundtrack... even the pieces made just for the movie aren't so cinematic that you can't listen to them and enjoy them.

DROPKICKS ALMOST MISSED THE BOAT....
I've got to say a few good things about The Dropkicks, because I made a few comments about 'em a ways back that may have been mistaken as insults... and I can't insult them, because I'm from Boston, and they have been a staple band 'round these...

the departed
This was another fine performance from Leonardo DiCaprio. The movie was as good as any I've seen in the past few years. The cast was a large part of it, but the story line was well thought out and put together well. If one likes action movies...

I'm Not Wearing Any Pants
A very solid selection, but I'm getting sick of this 12 track hogwash. 16 tracks. That's what us loyal non-pirating cd grubbers deserve. For the other 4 tracks maybe they could have thrown on The Stone's "Gimme Shelter," Joe Cuba's "Bang Bang,"...

Powerful soundtrack from an outstanding film
I love this soundtrack because it perfectly captures the essence of the film "The Departed," and also really evokes the spirit of Boston. This CD consists of many classic favorites as well as some newer tunes that feature great guitar solos. There...

It's all about The Murphys
Ah, the movie soundtrack. What a consumer dilemma. If I love a movie this much, and it is directed by the Christopher Columbus of the use of popular songs in movies (instead of just a written score ), won't I love the soundtrack as well?...

Good ST but...
As others mentioned the leaving out of the Stones could quirk some...but who does not already have it...and my take is it was a royalty/label issue.. generally the songs do fit well with the film..so good. But the repeatedly replaying of the dork...

Music From a Soundtrack
This CD has all the popular tunes from the movie, The Departed. The music is played in it's full recording not mixed or just half of a song. I was very impressed with the quality of the sound.

Great music
As soon as this film had finished I ordered the sound track and was telling all my friends about it. It has great music and it's my traveling music in the car. I just lent it to my daughter. I would recommend this sound track, it has a great...

Great music. Bad soundtrack for the film
The music on this CD is great. The "yawn" music in the film is boring and has been done over and over in other films. Oh listen a Rolling Stones song in a Scorsese film! Oh boy! The live version of Comfortably numb during a love scene is...
