A unique feature to the Safe Seat (Step 2) is that it is one of the only forward-facing toddler car seats that reclines while it's installed. This means it's easier to install - since you can get easy access to the belt path for correct installation. In addition, it's a lot more comfortable for kids to ride in during longer rides.
