Robert Ludlum's (TM) The Bourne Betrayal
At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Terrible book!
Please don't waste your money. This book is an insult to your intelligence. The plot jumps around with ludicrous events occurring that are so far beyond credibility - the book just becomes ridiculous. If you insist on reading it, then rent it...

Worst book of the year
My copy ended up in the trash after chapter six. I couldn't take any more of the inconsistencies and unbelievable situations. Lustbader should apologize to Ludlum's fans for the huge let down.

What happened to Marie
Ok did I miss something? What happened to Marie and the two kids. Seems she was killed but I have read all the Bourne novels and don't see where this happened. The Bourne Legacy and then the Bourne Betrayal - was there a book in between I hate...

Overdone
The Bourne Legacy was better. I think Mr. van Lustbader tried too hard to add twists and turns instead of just adding action sequences. The twists and turns just became laughable after a time and left questions hanging in the air, i.e: Why would...

Ludlum shoudl revoke Van Lustbader's license
This book just stunk. The key device is expecting the reader to believe that an Arab terrorist could be made to look, sound and act EXACTLY like Bourne's best friend Martin Lindros, so much so that even a finely tuned instrument like Jason Bourne...

BETRAYAL INDEED...
Anyone familiar with Eric Van Lustbader original work can attest that he is a very good action-thriller writer. I would recommend NINJA and WHITE NINJA without any reservation. The BOURNE BETRAYAL however is an entirely different story...

If You've Only Seen the Movie Trailers & Not the Movie Nor Heard of Robert Ludlum, This Will Do
It's odd that ERIC VAN couldn't find the time to actually watch the new Jason Bourne movies nor did he bother to read the brilliant original books by Robert Ludlum ... so if you have only seen the movie trailers and know that Matt Damon is in it...

Tired genre, check out Scott Hicks' work instead
Well, you can tell that the author is just trying to squeeze the last buck out of this 'Bourne' series. I enjoyed the interesting plot twists in the earlier books, but this is tired and worn out. I much prefer Scott Hicks' "The Shattering Light...

Bourne again? No way. This is rubbish.
Having read a couple of - highly entertaining - Lee Child novels before moving onto The Bourne Betrayal, it struck me what a poor effort this is. EVL certainly went to work on his keyboard, producing a sizable book, but less is more in my view. To...
