The best thrash album ever?
This album is as heavy and fast as Metallica ever got. One of the few albums you can listen to all the way through. A highly underrated album in my opinion.

Sorry, but even St. Anger is a better album.
Seriously, as many people as there are who bash the post-Black Album stuff, all of it is actually better than their first effort. To me, the only tracks that really stand out are (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth and Seek and Destroy. Everything else...

Hit The Lights, It's Thrash Metal Time!
People often incline Metallica's true sound as their 80's catalog, nailing the sweet spot particularly around the 3 albums proceeding this ("Ride The Lightning", "Master of Puppets", and "...And Justice For All").
