At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Not quite what I was hoping for, but interesting...
What this book is ultimately suffering from is bad marketing. The title dupes us all: "Unlocking". We (or at least I) look at it and say, "Ah ha! All the answers to LOST!" And we snatch the book up.

Who was this written for?
I read this book during the break in seasons 2 and 3. Besides the thorough section devoted to the producer's influences--the parallels to "The Stand" and "The X-Files" are interesting--it was a waste of time. It left me wondering what audience...

not helpful
What a horrible horrible book. This is not for Lost fans. This is for someone who's never seen Lost. It does not unlock or analyze anything. It pretty much reviews what has already happened. What a waste of money and time.

Kinda like a college paper
Good book, though sometimes it reads like a college paper. Covers most of Season 2.

very upset
I purchased this book hoping that it would clear up my confusion about LOST - but quite the opposite. This book is so poorly organized, I may as well be using it as a driving map for Italy. Purchase the other Ultimate Unofficial Guide to LOST,...

poorly organized, not worth while
this book is not organized very well - the "Ultimate Unofficial Guide to ABC's Hit Series LOST" is a better title - don't buy this book, it's a waste of time.

Unlocking the Meaning of Lost Is Quite Original
In a world where so much television programming is merely a rehash of what's gone before and film studios bring to the big screen movies based on long-ago television hits, it's refreshing to find a program like "Lost" that combines familiar...
