E-Commerce: Business, Technology, Society, Second Edition
E-Commerce: business, technology, society. provides an overview of the current and next generation of E-commerce. The book emphasizes the three major driving forces behind E-commerce: technology change, business development, and social controversies. Each of these driving forces is represented in every chapter, and together they provide a coherent conceptual framework for understanding E-commerce. The result is a complete treatment of a very diverse subject that is aimed specifically at readers interested in business concepts, IS/IT developments, and computer science applications. The LearnE-Commerce website (at www.LearnE-commerce.net) is a dynamic companion to the textbook, with original content provided by the authors. This Web site is a portal to the E-commerce field, specifically for higher education instructors and their students. The site combines solid educational and editorial content to help instructors prepare their classes, and help students become aware of research about E-commerce. more

Needed for class, not a bad book
I needed the book for class and was put off by it's size. However, it is not a bad read. Though it is stocked with information, the chapters are broken up with stories of real-life situations.

Very good text book - too detailed on the "Birth of the Internet"
For the most part this book is a very easy read and is organized very coherently - however, the author seems to digress sometimes by paying too much attention to certain subjects that are important and integral, but could use a 'lite' version. For instance, Chapter 3 is horrendous. Acronym after...

I have used this textbook for several years - while it is a good basic source of information, it badly needs updating and supplementation in several important areas: RFID is not mentioned; Mobile/hand set E-Commerce is covered at a surface level, Search Engine and major Portal marketing needs...

Practical, Informative, and Interesting
This is a college level text book that is actually interesting. It is very well written and most importantly, it is NOT boring. It's amazing how easy it is to read such a large book in a short amount of time when the book is well written. You will be able to actually design and learn how to...
