At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

honestly, that was the stupidest purchase I've ever made ... It was an impulse while buying new TV and I was tempted with the low price and the looks ... but the sound is just as I was expecting from SONY, but - the reviews from this site made me...
PROS: hmmm, well - they where cheap ... would work great as a lamp stand I suppose
CONS: I am very weak, YES. Purchasing based on a 5min testing and relative to the weaker models from the series is a very poor thing to do.

I've been a Cerwin Vega lover for years, but after discovering there aren't any dealers in my area, I went to Best Buy to see what they had available. They used to be a CV dealer, but apparently they got rid of them a few years ago, so I decided...
PROS: Clear highs and mids, even when playing cassettes.
CONS: Weak bass on their own, but that isn't an issue when adding a sub, and using them for mains in a home theater setup.

PROS: Stylish, surprisingly super sound, good value
CONS: Not great for home theater, comes with cheap speaker wire

I've been using this product for several months in my home theater setup, listening to movies, video games, radio, cd's, etc. This is an excellent speaker that stands up well to bigger speakers costing hundreds more dollars. The local best buy has...
PROS: Crisp, accurate reproduction of different styles of music. The cones and tweeters perform quite well. (FYI, the latest Consumer Reports testing speakers confirmed my theory; it rated these speakers {note sure if this one or the other model with dual woofe
CONS: Low range with a single 8" woofer may not be enough low range for those without seperate subwoofers. If you don't have one, check out the other model with the dual 8s.
