A game of a film/book? doesn't work.
PROS: Battle for Middle Earth II is great if you want to pretend to be an unskilled god. Fun making loads of little people but actually, why?
CONS: Tedious. Laborious button clicking and frustrating.

Overall a very fun game. Definitely one to get if you're big into the RTS genre or just enjoy lord of the rings.

"Simple as the first, but not as fun"
It's a good game, but lacks some of the flair of the first; the first was based mostly around the movies, so the player knows what battles to look forwards to; the storming of isengard, helms deep, pellenor fields, and the black gate. The time...
PROS: Simple gameplay; great graphics; create-a-hero; WOTR mode; ship combat
CONS: Glitchy multiplayer; lacking storyline; new building system; not so fun
