Wouldn't work on multiple systems
Got one of these today and so far it hasn't worked at all. I've tried three (working) IDE drives and a laptop drive. The best success I've had is for the adapter to show up in Device Manager, but the drive never appears in My Computer. Of course, this is Vista's doing, I'm thinking, but I tried...

Can't read files
It works wells with NTFS though. It could be my XP machine is lacking a driver needed to read older IDE Hdds. The Older drives are either Win 3.x to Win 98. Should work according to the Adapter manual.

It is simply a great device. So easy to install and set up. You can use for practically any internal device. So far, I have had no problems connecting hard drives and DVD-burners. Very user-friendly.

Wokes very well with my laptop. As soon as i connected the hard disk with my laptop via usb to ide cable, my laptop detected it immediately. I am very happy with the product. Manufacturer should provide some greater length.
