At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.

This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

I have three to supply surround channel in my home setup.
As a primary amp it lacks in depth, having fried one when used to substitute for a McIntosh MC 2600 into Infinity Kappa 9's. At low volumes there was little difference with the big...

From: Amazon Posted: Feb 15, 2007 Type: User Review First rate amplifier

I am using this amp in a biamp setup to drive only the lower frequencies, so I have not examined it's performance as a "stand alone" unit. It appears to be nearly noisless and gives a very clean and punchy low end, which is what I was looking for....

Harsh high end, weak mid's, bass fair - I mostly listen to folk and classical music - acoustic instruments tend to bring out the best / worst in amps from a sound quality perspective. Be sure to use a pre-amp to get even marginal results with this...

PROS: Price, generates enough heat to warm up the room during wintertime, reduced natural gas costs for heating. No Fan noise!
CONS: Too harsh of a high end to listen to comfortably, weak mid's, you'll need extra air conditioning in the summer to keep the room cool when running this amp. Sound quality dimished exponentially when pushed. Ran out of steam quickly.
