I recently went to Borders to find a training book and looked at every book in the store and there was nothing quite like this. It is layed out well, has the different target groups, smaller photo references with the page numbers for particular exercises and simple, understandable instructions...

Very nice book with clear instructions on strength training
This is a very good book for people who want to start on or know more about strength training. It has very clear picutres for each exercise and also includes several programs for target toning. I highly recommend it. Wish it comes with a training DVD!

Good but there are better workouts....
Good book, workouts are fine for starting out but do not progress they way I hoped. I switched to the Weight Training Workout that Work books 9 months ago and am amazed at my changes. I have lost 6% bodyfat, 19 lbs and look better than when I was 20.Everybody out there - start lifting weights...

Not a good strength training book!
I was shocked to see that this book got such high reviews. I found it to be extremely lacking. I suppose it might be alright for a woman whose never lifted a weight in her life, but for anyone serious about weight training, this book will not help you. I highly recommend Strength Training...
