I looked at several guidebooks for South Dakota before our vacation this summer. I choose this one and one other. This was the only guidebook I needed. It has all the important details, and very clear descriptions of the attractions....

We just returned from a trip to South Dakota about a month ago. We took this book along. It was very useful in explaining the details of various places to visit. I would definitely recommend this book to a tourist visiting the area....

This book is really geared to the lower denominator in terms of what there is to do in the Black Hills. Not very much insight that you can't get from the tourist info you get from flyers. Should say more about how anti-family Deadwood...
