Sunrise Tai Chi (YMAA) DVD

AWAKEN, HEAL, AND STRENGTHEN YOUR BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT

Let the sun shine in! Master-teacher Ramel Rones gently guides you through the morning with a series of powerful mind/body exercises that awaken the senses, stimulate the mind, and fill your body and Spirit with abundant energy.

Captured in high-definition at the beautiful Harvard University Arboretum, this simplified, short Tai Chi sequence is practiced to both the left and right for balance. Sunrise Tai Chi was created as a comprehensive introduction to authentic Tai Chi, which will allow you to fine-tune your practice before moving on to more complex Tai Chi. It includes suggestions for intermediate and advanced students, to help you grow and improve over time.

Each day, millions of people worldwide practice Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan), which has been known for centuries to promote deep relaxation, excellent health, & to prevent injuries & illness. The movements in Sunrise Tai Chi will help you to loosen & build your muscles, tendons & ligaments, which will improve your circulation of blood & Qi energy. The program also teaches you to find balance between strength & flexibility, increase bone density, & massage the internal organs, improving your quality of life & daily physical performance.

Not for beginners

This CD would probably be okay for someone already familiar with Tai Chi, but it was useless to a beginner. If I followed his directions, I sometimes would not be able to see his example on the screen. Also, more verbal directions/reminders throughout would have been helpful. His garments flowed...

Thai Chi good for seniors

This is a good DVD for beginners in order to learn the basic Thai Chi moves. This makes more advanced programs easier and faster to learn. Great for seniors to help with stretching and balance. Also very relaxing. Arrived promptly after ordering and in excellent condition.

As others have stated, this is a beautiful, soothing, and very instructive DVD. I have worked with the book by the same title and the Sunset Tai Chi DVD, and find that they complement one another. I have recommended these to many friends and students, and look forward to learning more from these...

Very Complete

I bought this dvd for my husband for Christmas. He was thrilled, as we have talked about taking a class for a long time and we were house-bound with a storm. The only criticism that I MIGHT have is that it is so comprehensive that it is a little overwhelming for a beginner. You really have to...

Oh Please!

Received this as a requested Christmas gift. I was looking for a movement exercise DVD for relaxation and stretching. I was not looking for having to put my foot on the back of a folding chair or running in place. The only part of the evercise session that was the fluid movement I was looking for...
