Not sure what "satin" means, but I believe these are superior veneers than the cheesy, shiny black veneers on most cheap furniture and speaker stands these days. Well worth the $33 (including shipping!) I paid to Amazon. Got them in about 2 days...

These are "OK" stands, but not as advertised. These are in no way "Black Satin". Also, this model is WC-17.5...well, it would seem obvious that they are in fact 17.5 inches tall, NOT 23 inches as in the description.
