Aquemini
It takes a few listens to sink in, but on Aquemini, Outkast have pulled off a rare feat in hip-hop: they've made a good record that's a masterpiece of subtlety. What's more, it's their third record, and they've yet to fall into a rut--and that alone puts them in line for an award. The Organized Noize production crew is sublime, working with live musicians and crafting hook-filled soundscapes that complement Big Boi and Andre Benjamin's melodic patter. (See "Rosa Parks," "Chonkyfire," and the epic "Liberation," which features Erykah Badu, Cee Lo, and Big Rube--and clocks in at just under nine minutes.) Classy and intelligent, Outkast haven't sacrificed anything in their quest to make challenging, innovative hip-hop that forgoes idle boasting for the duo's message. A sample, from the title track: "Now, question: Is every nigga wit dreads for the cause? / Is every nigga wit golds for the fall? Naw / So don't get caught in appearance." --Randy Silver more

One of Three Classic Albums
They are in my opinion the greatest Hip-Hop group to come out of the south and one of the greatest period. This album is hot from beginning to end. It's their third album and third straight classic. They proved long ago with several other artist in that time that the south does have lyricist. If...

THE BEST HIP HOP GROUP EVER!
In a nutshell it is now 2008 and I still love listening to every single track on this cd. This cd will never get old to me. I love the fact that Outkast does not try to be like everybody else, they are so creative and very unique with their lyrical styles, beats, and choice of instruments. This...

Best southern hip hop album of all time
OutKast are the best southern rap group of all time. This is one of the most creative albums ever. Dre is a spirtul leader of the album while Big Boi is there to add a gangsta element. Return of the "G" starts the CD with Dre laying down some of his best lyrics. Rosa Parks is the best song on the...

Aquemini raises hip-hop music to a new high
These guys are pioneers in the hip-hop industry, no doubt. Pushing hip-hop to a whole new high with extraordinary beats, complimentary rap artists (George Clinton, Erykah Badu, Raekwon etc.) and stellar lyrics. Andre and Big Boi manage to out-do themselves with their latest album, "Aquemini."...

Outkast's Finest Hour
Outkast blew me away from the beginning...this is a hip hop group that transcended their genre in the most innovative way; SICK flows and tight beats-five CLASSIC albums under their belt: "Southernplayalistic", "ATLiens" "Aquemini" "Stankonia" "Speakerboxx/Love Below" it's a shame that groups...

A Hip Hop Plato...5/5
Following 1996's ATLiens, everyone wondered if anyone could possibly follow up especially at a time when everyone was flipping their script to gain attention and sales. Starting off with a short intro, we come into "Return of the G". Everyone was stunned with 3000's performance. Yea, people knew...

ATLiens, part two
This is supposed to be the best hip-hop album ever made or whatever. But I'm gonna say this right now: there was nothing as bad as "Skew it on the Bar-B" (a pointless effort to show you how fast these guys can rap - problem is, it's just your stereotypical rap song, and I don't listen to OutKast...

Outkast Reaches the Pinnacle
Outkast is one of the few groups I can think of that gets better with each release. This CD is amazing. Return of the "G" is a magnificient song with warnings to every thing you read or here. The boys definitely grew up from the early days of Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. Rosa Parks,...

Boring.
This album does NOT live up to its hype. The lyrics, like most hip-hop records nowadays, are mostly self-serving, definitely not "inspiring" by any means. The usual references of cadillacs, the n-word, gangsters, the hood, money, sex... they are all there. The only good things about this album...

Another Outkast Classic
It is hard to say which album is Outkast's greatest. I have all of their albums and have thoroughly listened to each and every single one repeatedly. To me, these guys haven't missed yet on an album. But on Aquemini I noticed that Andre and Big Boi have grown up a little, and so has their...
