This is a text book such as a high school or junior college might use to support a Java class. There are lots of excercises, the programs come quickly. But the book does a poor job of teaching the basic precepts of Java.

Very disappointed, I got more from reading the help files. The book only glosses over the basics and fail to explain many many important facts that I eventually learned from the software's help files.
My advice, save your money.
