Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul
Helping men rediscover their masculine heart, this guide to understanding Christian manhood and Christian men offers a refreshing break from the chorus of voices urging men to be more responsible, reliable, dutiful? and dead. God designed men to be dangerous, says John Eldredge. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: To be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires-aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a "nice guy." It is no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death. In this provocative book, now available in trade paper, Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be-dangerous, passionate, alive, and free. more

Wild Conclusions
My main problem with this book, is that it teaches Christian men to waste their time trying to be "radical". Now, it goes without saying that our Savior, Jesus Christ, was a radical and His teachings shook the religious foundations established around the Mosaic law. Also, we as a dying church...

wild at heart
This is an excellent book. It is both helpful for a man to understand who and why God made him who he is, but also as a study of the Word. If you read this book and compare statements with the Bible it is an awesome thing. This is my husband's 2nd time reading it. The first copy he read...

Was expecting something better after reading the reviews.
If you are a well adjusted male with a decent relationship with your father then there is about 10% of this book that is of any use at all. The author must have had some troubles with his relationship with his father and found a few others who have as well and made this a basis for most of the...

AN AMAZINGLY INSIGHTFUL BOOK.
I loved this book. It was recommended to me by a guy friend, who thought every woman should read this book to get a better understanding of the men in their life. I got it for that exact reason, and because I'm a fictional romance writer, in hopes of gaining insight that would allow me to...

Are You a Man? Married to One? Read this Book!

Not Christian; it's a "Pop Psychology"
/ WILD AT HEART (WAH) by John Eldredge John Eldredge is not a Christian, but he does like to put on the act, because when one is selling Pop Psychology by way of personal testimony, the foreshortened theological propositions must be couched in terms of personal conviction. One need...
