What to Expect the Toddler Years

From: $6.19

They guided you through pregnancy, they guided you through baby's first year, and now they'll guide you through the toddler years. In a direct continuation of What to Expect When You're Expecting (over 9.6 million copies in print) and What to Expect the First Year (over 5.6 million copies in print), America's bestselling pregnancy and childcare authors turn their uniquely comprehensive, lively, and reassuring coverage to years two and three. Organized month by month for the second year (months 12-24) and quarterly through the third year (months 24-36), What to Expect the Toddler Years covers each growth and development phase parents are likely to encounter-when they're likely to encounter it. Hundreds of questions and answers treat everything from eating and sleeping problems to day care, tantrums, bottle mouth, shyness, self-esteem, and more. An entire third section of the book is devoted to toilet training, safety, and health, and a fourth covers special concerns-the exceptional child, siblings, and balancing work and parenting.

At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.

This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

From: Amazon Posted: Jan 12, 2008 Type: User Review Great book for parents of Toddlers (or soon to be)!

My mother is a daycare administrator and is often faced with parents who have little or no experience in child development. When no amount of explaining a situation (like when children potty train or separation anxiety) works, we break out the...

From: Amazon Posted: Dec 13, 2007 Type: User Review GREAT READING

I am a step grandmother who has had no children. Small children are a mystery to me. I try treating them like small adults.
This book is terrific. It explains so much and makes such sense. I keep at my bedside ready for baby sitting.

From: Amazon Posted: Dec 06, 2007 Type: User Review not as good as the first 2 but still pretty good

The first two books in this series were never far from me during my pregnancy and my daughter's first year of life, but I use this one much less often. I think that is mostly due to the fact that I'm getting the hang of the whole mothering thing....

All the basics in one book, even though this one is a tad outdated. Love the layout of this book and the previous ones,. plus it never makes me feel stupid for wondering!
