Does what it says it will do
Loaded onto multiple PC's. No glitches. Its always more economical to delete your old Norton's (such as 2007) and buy a new version each year (such as 2008) rather than pay the annual renewal fee, plus you get the latest version too. Makes sense...

The 2008 version of Norton Internet Security (NIS) includes several new or improved modules and a revamp of the program's design. NIS probably has a bigger following than just about any other security program but that dominance is a double-edged swor

"Remarkable Turnaround"
I never thought I would see the day where I would be writing a positive review about a Norton product, but admittedly NIS 2008 is a vast improvement over previous versions (esp. NIS 2006). It is no longer the CPU-killer it once was, and the usabilit
PROS: easy to install, low on CPU, non-intrusive

"Am I using NIS 2008 or 360"
I was hoping that Norton/Symantec would distinguish the 360 line and the Internet Security line, but this brought them closer together; specifically the LiveUpdate no longer tells me what it is updating and the auto-protect scans seem like it is only
PROS: Leave feedback icon makes me feel my opinions are valued. New black and yellow background interface. Feels somewhat faster than 2007. Identity safe rocks!
CONS: Feels as though I lost some control of my security solution. Don't exactly get the warm fuzzies about my storing password despite its convenience

"After 4 years, it is still JUNK SOFTWARE"
I last purchased a Norton Software in 2004 and vowed never to do it again. Well, after reviewing the user opinions on this site and having a new Dell computer, I decided to buy the NIS 2008 and try it. It downloaded fine, better than 2004 and worked
PROS: installed correctly the first and only time
CONS: see opinion

"Give It A Try"
Knowing the past reputation of Norton products slowing down PC's, I downloaded the 15 day trial of Norton Internet Security 2008. I have been so pleased with the performance that I purchased the product and installed it on my desktop and laptop. I c

"The best money can buy."
I have hated Norton products since NIS 2005. It was always thought of as a resource hog and bloatware. I have tested the new Security Suites for 2008 and have come to the conclusion the NIS 2008 is the best. There was no slow down in my laptop (2.26g

"Great Program (once you learn it)"
NIS 2008. Symantec clearly made changes in Norton Internet Security 2008 to make it appear less complex to the user. It is an improvement. However, the installation process may be unsettling because it takes about an hour without giving you informati

"WHO IS WORKING FOR NORTON NOW? BECAUSE THEY GOT IT RIGHT!!!! 2008 NIS"
I own Nod32: 2.7, Kaspersky: 6.0 and 7.0, Trend-Micro: 2007,Panda: 2007, Norton 360, and MacAfee Virus protections. I can't write anything bad about the other companies! But, after testing first the Norton 2008 out with many web-sites loaded with sca

"Norton has finally done it right"
Starting with NIS 2007, Symantec created a great internet security suite that runs light and deals with malware immediately. It does this with little or no intervention by the user required. I was a critic of Norton for its bloated suites prior to 2
PROS: easy to use and does well in tests
CONS: does not run as light as NOD32 but light enough
