Symantec Norton 360
At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

"Unreliable at best"
Norton 360 stops working periodically, prompting a re-installation. This happens probably about once a month. Half of the time, auto-protect turns itself off, and can't be restarted without reinstalling the program anyways. And it's really hard to

"Sucks - use Avast freeware instead"
Save your money and download Avast - it's free and detected things Norton never found. I was never able to get the Norton updates and the techs sent LONG lists of things to try, none of which worked. Also prevented me from getting Windows updates. A-

CONS: First off the price, a scorching 80 bucks, after 5 months it slowed my internet down to primitive dial up! I called my ISP support and found out the trouble was N360!!

"Frustrating I am beginning to HATE it!"
This is a product that has a good deal of potential however, I think Norton need to step back and have another look at the user interface options. I think in an effort to make the program seamless, they have shot themselves in the foot by not allowin
PROS: PC Tuneup and Eavesdropping Protection are both good.

"Awesome. The Best Out there.(period)"
This is the BEST internet security and antivirus out in the market. I used Norton before but dumped it because of it's silly system resources consumed by it and because there are "better" and cheaper alternatives available, such as NOD32 and Kaspersk
PROS: Nice user interface, PC optimizing, Online Back-up, Transaction Security, Quick SCAN and LIVEUPDATE.
CONS: no invidivual file scanner. Need to restart after Update.

"worse than a virus"
This product is horrible. It takes up a ton of resources and doesn't uninstall properly either. The running of this software is worse of for your computer than most malware.
