"A great step forward in photographic performance"
A lot has been said in online reviews about high ISO noise, which made me hesitate as a long time Minolta / Sony user, and made me consider defecting to Canon. I looked at the 5DmkII, but Canon...
With a full-frame, 35mm sensor and 26 megapixels to its name, the Sony A900 (DSLR-A900) digital SLR camera is a super-heavyweight when it comes to churning out huge images. It eclipses even the...
We hoped the new Olympus E-620 would give Canon and Nikon a modicum of competition in the cut-throat DSLR arena, but no such luck—the camera simply didn’t measure up. Another week, another new...

The Sony Alpha DSLR-A700 ($999.99, body only) may be a solid shooter, but there are other digital SLRs (D-SLRs) that will give you more for your thousand bucks. Sure, it can crank out five...
Is every other review a company plant? Or did real photographers just not bother to review this camera?
The Sony SLRs are toys designed to compete in a market in which they already failed. They are just re-branded Minolta DSLRS, and photographers were so unhappy with the Minolta DSLRS that no one...
Even in this era of rapidly plunging HDTV, Blu-ray disc player and game console prices, some devices remain very expensive. Case in point: full-frame DSLRs. These cameras use sensors that are the...
My key question is, would it be a better purchase to simply get the A700? My friend has used the A700 for a few years and I would suggest the A700 for anyone looking for quality finished photos...

Charger does it's job. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it doesn't charge simultaneously. So if you are aware of these limitations then this is a good buy.
Purchased with my Sony DCH and am very pleased. No abberation and crisp clear pictures. It requires an adapter, which is furnished and serves as an excellent sun shield.
Sony VAD-WF Lens/Filter Adaptor for DSC-W300 not worth the price
After returning a Sony DSC-W170 due to poor IQ, had severe softness on left side of images, I paid a bit more to exchange it for a DSC-W300. The W300 also has some softness (blurriness) on the left...
i bought some low price batteries, which i thought were a decent deal. i bought five. they worked ok in the beginning. after aprox 5-6 cycles 1 battery was not recognized by the camera. and...
2003 is arguably the most important year in digital photography, as its the first time sales of digital cameras have actually outsold traditional film models. Its not hard to see why either, as...

The Sony A200 is an excellent starter DSLR, 3 frame per second particualrly useful for sport photos, had mine for about 9 months and has totally changed how i take photos, very easy to use with...
The Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 is the follow-on model to Sony's first DSLR, the entry-level A100, and according to Sony it's faster, lighter, and easier to use than its predecessor, in addition to...
The person who wrote the 1st review for this camera should be ignored because anyone that can't spell the word "speak" should not be trusted to test a digital camera.
I have not had any experience with this camera besides trying several store models.
Pros: High Quality, Tiliting Screen, 14.2 MegaPixels, Image Quality, Works with Minolta AF lenses Cons: Somewhat Low FPS, Average Viewfinder, No Tethering You get a lot of DSLR for a very low...
When the Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 was launched at PMA, I suspected Sony might be onto something with their new live view system. After I spent a few minutes shooting in live view mode with a demo...
Please read all comments to this posting as I may add comments as I gain experience. I have taken photos with the A350 using both the 18-70 (f3.5 to 5.6) Sony lens and the 75-300 (f4.5 to 5.6)...
I take this camera to all my track meets and the pictures turn out great. I also take them to cavs and indians games and even from in the stands i can take some great pictures.
I bought 2 Sony cameras. A DSC 7 and a WS 55. The WS 55 takes better pics, but it's Zoom is only 3X. The DSC is 15X. You get what your pay for. I am spoiled- I have had a Nikon 995 for the last 6...
I had researched digital cameras for months before deciding based on its great specifications that this was the perfect camera for me. On paper its flash distance of 32 feet and burst mode were the...
Sony changed quite a few details, inside and out, between last year's H5 and this year's megazooms, the Cyber-shot DSC-H9 and DSC-H7. An f/2.7-4.5 31mm-465mm 15x supersedes the 12x zoom on last...
Cannot praise it enough, for the price I think its the very best value for money, the lens that comes with it is no use, and they should sell the body only, then offer a range of decent lenses.
I considered myself a semi-professional with my other digital camera. This camera only lasted two days with me because it was WAY too hard to use! I read the book really quickly - and had a...
Sony's entry-level dSLR, the Alpha DSLR-A200, delivers a just-the-facts-ma'am shooting experience. For the most part, it provides the average design, basic feature set, modest performance, and...

Don't waste your money. Purchase a Nikon or Canon...
I purchased my SONY Alpha 300 several months ago. Since then almost 75% of my pictures are bad using the flash. This is not due to the plastic guard the attaches to the front of the lens. If it was...
As a Sony advocate I applaud the Sony Alpha! Sharp pics! Flip screen is awesome! Move over Canon and Nikon ! I upgraded from a Sony F828 (which I still use! and it's in excellent like new...
I purchased this camera about 6 weeks ago with the optional Sony 75-300 mm lens. I took over 1100 pictures, including landscape, air show (w/ 300 lens) and on vacation in mountain terrain. I...
Like competing compact digital SLRs designed for users stepping up from the point-and-shoot realm , the 10.2-megapixel Sony Alpha DSLR-A300 has Live View functions--but it enjoys an edge over its...

I grew tired of lugging around lenses and was looking for something convenient and easy to replace my DSLR and ancient Sony DSC S85. I'm not a pro but I like to "play". I originally bought the...
""Do not" be fooled. Buyer beware. (You were warned.)"
The only "true" (in real world, not just on paper) improvement over the camera it replaces (the DSC-50) is they resolved the noise issue with recording movies (too many units had this problem,...
If you are trying to decide between a DSLR and a point and shoot but can not afford to put over $900 for the camera and extra lenses buy this camera. I have taken pictures of skydivers at full...
This is my OWN comments. So Dont buy camera only by reading this comments !! I bought this camera before 10 days. I started shooting images from the first day itself. The camera is BEST while...
