Happy Halloween, all! Hope your weekend was full of fun costumes, lots of parties, a solid dose of sweet treats and that you round out the holiday with a little more fun today. On a similar note, can you believe it's already October 31st? Ah! The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is knocking on the door, starting with the fabulous month of November. Here are some stylish highlights to keep in mind as the season moves in... mark your calendars!November 1: Christmas music hits the airwaves. I know it's not technically fashion or beauty-related, but who doesn't love holiday tunes? We've talked about "stylish" things, and I've officially decided Christmas songs qualify.November 8: Jennifer Lopez covers Glamour mag's December "Women of the Year" issue, and it hits newsstands on the eighth. I can't wait to hear what she has to say! This stylish and sweet lady is totally deserving of the honor. (Bonus: 100 outfit ideas and 50 ways to wear your hair are also in the issue... it's must-read for the holidays.)November 19: Versace for H&M madness arrives on the 19! Lanvin merchandise went like hotcakes. I can only imagine how crazy the Versace items will be. I'll be scouring for scarves, extras and maybe the line's chic leather jacket. (So. Gorgeous.)November 25: The fashion lover's holiday... it's Black Friday! A few tips: Decide on the one item at the one store that is on sale, that you really want, and that you can't imagine living without. (I know it sounds dramatic, but it's not. The deals are outrageous!) Then, divide and conquer. I've had the best luck at the Target-type stores as opposed to mall-type stores. They tend to have the best markdowns. However, most of the fun is in the chase. Take a friend and brave the cold weather, lines and crazy shoppers. It's like a sport.November 30: It's best to get all your Christmas shopping out of the way before the holiday festivities begin. Get it all in by late November! Pick up scarves, accessories and bags to give to your friends as gifts (you can't go wrong, and don't have to worry about sizes), and plan your outfits. Have three parties and one big event? It's time to coordinate. H&M and Target usually carry great, affordable dresses. You can get new tights from any major store. Pick up a red lip stain to take you from party to party, and my new best friend Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies mascara for dramatic eyes.
