FlatbedA flatbed scanner has a flat glass plate over the scanning device onto which you place the image to be scanned. A cover is brought down on top of the image, and then the actual scanning elements move beneath the image, within the machine, to capture and record it. Film"Slide" (positive) or negative film can be scanned in equipment specially manufactured for this purpose.HandheldThere are two forms of Hand scanners: document and 3D scanners. Hand held document scanners are manual devices that are dragged across the surface of the image to be scanned.

    • Cannot believe how simple it was to install(5-6 minutes). Scanned documents are stored in Adobe Reader and as clear as the originals. I haven't tried scanning pictures,yet. I love it!
