Pentax Generic cable release on end of stereo cable. WITH HOLD

This is a button on the end of a 3.5mmm mp3 headphone cable that will close or stay closed. It is not proprietary but is Pentax. Thus has Pentax famous high build quality. I would give this a 5* at $20.00.Pushing the button halfway will achieve focus, pushing it all the way fires the shutter...

Pentax Electronic Cable Switch

Very simple, easy to operate and attach to camera. Use it with tripod for shake free and clear photos. Especially helpful for wildlife photography. Would recommend everyone have one in his or her camera bag. It is small and inexpensive.

Works as advertised

It works fine, though it would be nice if the cable were a bit longer.

Works great

This is a real handy tool for close up photography - I use it to minimize camera shake and to allow me to hold my flash and walk it around to test various lighting setups - only real drawback is it could have a longer cord.

handy tool

the Pentax cable release is a very handy tool, works all the desired functions including bulb mode and multi-exposures however for the price the cord could be longer, it's only 18". 3' would of been nice.

Great Capture

Works as described. Lock position is great for the long exposures that I love so much.

Just wanted to provide some perspective on Amazon's price: the Pentax web site sells this release for $50.95.
