On Par With Otis Redding And Sam Cooke
This wonderful collection of Bobby "Blue" Bland singles proves that, at his best, Mr. Bland was on par with greats such as Sam Cooke and Otis Redding. "Little Boy Blue" is, for me, his signature tune, complete with Gospel-inflected howls that are far from being religiously pure in the eyes of...

This Album Made Me Fall in Love with the Blues
I'm 40. My dad had this album before I was born. I remember starting to explore the old vinyl as a child and finding this and thinking it was some of the most beautiful, soulful sounds I had ever heard. Unlike most fleeting childhood loves, this one has never changed.

Early Bobby Blue Bland...a great CD
It has been years since I listened to Bobby "Blue" Bland. These are earlier and, to me, more enjoyable recordings of his. His voice has the energy of a younger singer, yet still has the blues and soul that he had throughout his career. In short, buy it--you will enjoy it also.

Two Steps from the Blues CD by Bland
This CD is fabulous. It is one of my favorites R&B recordings. I loved Bobby Bland's music back in the fifties and sixties and to hear it again is a real turn on. For those just beginning to appreciate great R&B "Two Steps From The Blues" is a must listen. One of the best without a doubt.

in music, albums generally regarded as classics are pretty darn dependable. they are almost always outstanding. i wish that was the case with books (where classics are far from dependable). this album by bobby bland is regarded as a classic in the world of rhythm and blues, and once again those...
