Perfect for players at least up to 2000
I was perusing the web recently and read a bad review of this book. In essence, the reviewer's beef was that playing the Worral (as well as some other not-quite-main lines like Qe2 vs the Berlin) was essentially a lazy cop out and that players should instead go in for Zaitsevs and Marshall...

Nice Book
A lot of analysis, humorous, not dry, and just a exemplary of what a opening book should be like. He also discusses about opening surprise lines-the worall attack. I was impressed with this book, only the length was quite stressing.

Thorough, Sensible and Enjoyable!
This book presents a complete repertoire for White in the Ruy Lopez. The core of the repertoire consists of systems based on an early Qe2. Greet refers to them as "Worrall Systems" (as distinct from the Worrall Attack, which is slightly different and more narrowly defined). Thus, White is able...

This is a great book for white
This book explain everything you need to know to play the spanish with the white pieces with confidence. It takes you thru all the deviations until you can play the Worral. Even if you do not play the worral the book is wondeful. It is a must for white players.

Money Well Spent!!!
First of all i am not a fan of the Ruy. Never have been and doubt that i ever will be. So why the review? Though i feel the way i do towards 1.e4 openings - I'm a 1.d4 player - this book enticed me. From the moment i opened it and began exploring the well written and analysed chapters i grew in...

Incredible Book
Hands-down the best opening repertoire book I have ever seen. Addresses all of the black responses to 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5, and proposes a line (the Worrall Attack) based on 5.Qe2 which avoids some of black's most obnoxious (e.g., the Marshall Attack) and problematic replies in the main...

A great writer and a much-needed book
I bought this book because I have read several articles by the author in a chess magazine I subscribe to. He is an EXCELLENT writer; along with Jacob Aagaard, one of the best young writers out there (others are John Emms and the venerable John Nunn, Jeremy Silman, and John Watson). I play 1.e4...
