Black Holes and Revelations

For: $12.97

In 2004, U.K. favorite Muse broke through in the U.S. with Absolution and major performances across America that won legions of new fans. In 2006, Muse takes a bold new step with Black Holes And Revelations, a powerful, upbeat epic album that takes the band's music to a whole dimension. Once again co-produced by Rich Costey (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave), Muse incorporates influences from electronica and Prince to pure pop. The album is sure to be a revelation to those still unfamiliar with the 2005 Brit award winner for Best Live Act who headlines this summer's Reading and Leeds festivals.

At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.

This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

From: Amazon Posted: Jul 11, 2008 Type: User Review Album of the decade?

In a sea of mediocrity, Muse has come to show us that rock is alive and well. While previous Muse releases were also excellent- namely, Absolution and Origin of Symmetry- they both suffered from some weak tracks pockmarked in between the great...

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 25, 2008 Type: User Review Keane meets Radiohead

If you like hard driving percussion, distorted guitar, and piano all in one, then this is the album for you. Actually, Black Holes and Revelations is rather varied in its pace, vocal qualities, and use of instruments. There is certainly the sound...

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 22, 2008 Type: User Review Overall This is a Great Album

This is Muse's fourth album release and I have always loved their music. They haven't achieved great commercial success, but are popular in the more underground/indie scene, which fits them nicely. Their last release was in 2003 titled Absolution...

From: Amazon Posted: May 06, 2008 Type: User Review Diversity

I like this CD. It has a lot of Queen influence in the vocal and music department. It also has a very Art Rock approach in the music. The musicianship is amazing and always interesting. This Cd was recommended in a Prog Magazine as an album of...

From: Amazon Posted: May 03, 2008 Type: User Review a Revelation!

In "Butterflies and Hurricanes," on the Absolution album, Matt Bellamy sings, "Best... you've got to be the best... you've got to change the world and you use this chance to be heard." He certainly heeds his own advice, as is evidenced in the...

From: Amazon Posted: Apr 10, 2008 Type: User Review Very enjoyable

To say that this album is diverse would be a bit of an understatement. From the opening track "Take a Bow" to "Knights of Cydonia" at its end (incidentally, this was the song that prompted me to buy the album), Black Holes and Revelations takes...

Better than me, better than you. They are just an Uber-talented band with savvy to boot.

I was fortunate enough to see Muse perform on Friday evening (21 March) and was completely blown away! In fact the very next day I went off to...
