"Buyer Beware!"
I don't usually write product reviews, but I simply had to warn people to stay away from HP products after being treated so poorly by their "customer support" people. Aside from being bounced from person to person and being told ever-changing storie
PROS: text output is good. Duplexing is nice. Fast start up time.
CONS: Graphics are so-so. Abysmal customer service.

"Good initial impression, crappy over time"
Good initial impression(s) other than setup but if you need to print more than 50 pages a day this printer falls apart [in my case, after 3 months]- gets extremely noisy and coaxing a single page out of it takes several minutes and much tweaking. Pro

"Seamless as USB Printer on Airport Network"
Works great in a mixed Windows/Mac environment hooked up to Airport functioning as a USB print server. Quiet and fast.

"This is the printer I was looking for"
I held onto my Laserjet 4L for over 16 years because of its good text quality and ease of use. For the longest time, I could not find an adequate monochrome laser replacement. The Laserjet 1320 was too flimsy, the Laserjet 2040 too expensive. Brother
