"Poor ink management and poor software"
The print quality is acceptable for a low-cost printer, but the printer software easily locks up. If a color ink cartridge is low, it will not print with just the black ink regardless of the printer settings. This makes this budget printer an expens

"Horrible Photo Printing"
I have an older Canon i860 and wanted to upgrade to something a bit newer and a bit faster. The store that I went to did not have the ip4500 in stock, so I took the ip3500 home and gave it a try. The text was fast and crisp. However, I tried printing

The Canon Pixma iP3500 inkjet printer is ambitious, squeezing a lot of printer functionality into an inexpensive package. While it falls short in some ways, it's still a great value. The Pixma iP3500 printed quickly and competently. Plain-text pages

This is a great printer. I have purchased 4 Canon printers and they are all good. This one does an excellent job of printing photos, and the ink lasts forever.
