"Piece of Garbage"

If this was noit a gift, I would returned it right away. There is no way after this experience that I will buy a Sony DVD player again. I suggest everyone just stick with Panasonic.

PROS: Portable and good size screen.

CONS: I read all of these reviews and am amazed that no one mentions how much the item freezes up. If I use it for more than 2 hours, the DVDs freeze up and will not play anymore. I have to turn the unit off and let it rest. The volume sucks too.

Turn up the volume

I bought this for my employees to watch training videos. It works well but the volume never gets loud enough to hear in the workplace. Headphones are usually used to help out in this situation. Easy to use and a good picture.

Watching a movie is one of the easiest ways to pass the time on a long (or not so long) trip. With airlines making cutbacks on everything else, you might find it necessary to bring your own entertainment soon anyway. Not to mention, for those of us with young children this is a valuable tool for long drives or when you suddenly find yourself stuck in traffic and a 20-minute car ride just became an hour. I keep a stash of DVDs along with the portable DVD player in the storage pocket behind the front passenger seat. PROS: It has absolutley none. i brought it because i needed one. it was quite cheap and that was all i could afford and it was cute. but it disappointed me greatly

CONS: The screen died after 20 minutes use. The sound still worked but all visual was gone. i used the dvd player according to the manual and yet it fielded low results. Very disappointing

I used the unit to play books recorded on CD's (MP3). It worked well for 30 days. Then it stopped working.
