Solid Rock Album
Solid Rock album my dad loves it for his brithday. He told me every track rocks and nothing short of a mind blowing perfect album by a solid rock band. His view and mine this was the bands best album.

"Speak to me in a language I can hear..."
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is the Smashing Pumpkins most complicated and prettiest album. This epic contains two discs so expect a lot of different styles of music, you get a little bit of everything, beautiful ballads with haunting melodies, the alternative rock anthems, and Corgan's...

Feast of the 90s
Can't say I'm a huge fan of the "fuzzy" guitars they use on the heavier tracks - to me, it kind of spoils the power of those tracks. At least it's original. But by hell this band can knock out a ballad like no one else. No wonder they're a flagship 90s band ... no one's making music these days...

Into the night...
Mellon Collie is a beautifully written masterpiece in my opinion. Of course, I simply adore the pumpkins. I find the album itself can satisfy a vast array a different music "moods" and left me with a number of songs I could identify with at that specific time in my life. For those who say it...

START HERE to become a Pumkins fan
The Smashing Pumpkins just came out with a greatest hits...just like every other band a decade after they have ceased to be. But to those new to the Smashing Pumkins I recommed they start here. This is a double disk album that features a nice mix of what the band was about. It features Radio...

why cant corgan make stuff like this anymore? he's insane, thats why
Billy Corgan is interesting to me, he seems like a musician well developed and innovative in his own sub genre of harder rock. And yet for some reason anything released by Smashing Pumpkins after this album was average, if that at best. Sad to say, this is the last classic Smashing Pumpkins...

Still loved... years later
I was in high school when this album came out, and honestly wanted it just because everyone else did. My parents got it for me and I swear it never left my CD player (except to change to the other disc) my entire high school career. I was never a Smashing Pumpkins fan until hearing this album,...

Smashing Pumpkins review
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is one of The Smashing Pumpkins better albums with two CDs each geared towards a different time of the day. I truely enjoy both discs. The Songs seem to slowly head towards the other album as it goes. For example by the time you get to 'To Forgive' on the...

oh BILLY
Holy cow, was Siamese Dream a masterpiece. Which makes this nonsensically titled wad of bloat a complete letdown and a half. What happened to Billy's voice? Why does it sound like he's singing from a Lay-z-Boy with new beer-fueled layers of neck fat choking his trachea, producing this new sound,...
