All Killer No Filler

If you've heard Blink 182, the Offspring, or Green Day, you've heard Sum 41, with or without All Killer No Filler. The Canadian quartet's California punk formula is a well-worn one that seems to be working--all the way from the store to the Warped Tour. Set poppy, three-chord rock to hyperactive speeds, write songs about why you don't give a shit, and play up your juvenile-delinquent side for all it's worth (check out the "Going, Going, Gonorrhea" video with the band "doing all the dangerous and immature stuff you shouldn't try from the safety of your own home"). Of course, this has all been done before and will continue to be rehashed again as long as a silly, snotty attitude brings in the record company gold. While these punks are hardly walking down the block less traveled, they still packed All Killer full of hooks that should snag modern rock radio listeners. Peppy sing-along choruses, rolling drum solos, and guitar-driven anthems uncork the energy and brightly color this fast-moving, TRL-friendly disc. --Jennifer Maerz  more

The title says it all

I could write one of those long reviews detaling every song and telling you why each song is great but I can "sum" this album up in one sentence. This album will hands down, rock your face off. I'm serious, I'm writing this with one of those special computers that talk to you because because I...

Obviously if you are a Sum 41 fan, this album could explain why.

This is one of their greatest albums, because this is the real Sum 41 before Deryck was supposed to get married or before Dave left.I'll rate each of the songs on here.1. Introduction To Destruction 5/10 Not really a song. Kind of cool though. 2. Nothing On My Back 10/10You'll find yourself...

who needs POP-PUNK!!! Sum41 destroys it.

a funny band with a straightforward down to playing hard music for fans does the trick in "all killer no filler". great hooks, music and a great companion for all other die-hard punk music.

That stupidhead who cusses. It should say this, not badworda-palooza....

OKAY!! You little stupidheads that like Sum41 and Blink182... let me ask you something. If they aren't PUNK... then what the heck are they? They certainly ARE NOT pop, or any of that other stupid type of music... and you obviously don't know what the heck you're talking about, so shut up and sit...

I was dissapointed

I never gave this band any thought until I saw them cover Metallica's "Master of Puppets" for 2003's MTV Icon. And though they didn't play the whole song, they did play the solo and the fact that they were able to pull that off got the attention of me. When some kid I knew was giving away CD's...

Sum's All Killer

It was in 2001, when the punk group Sum-41 finally hit it big with the release of their breakthrough album: ALL KILLER NO FILLER. The band received radio and televised airplay like crazy. Sum-41 also landed soundtrack spots for copilation CD's, the film Spider-man, and the television show Malcom...

The title is the truth.

Well, it was 2001, and for some reason they were showing a 15 second clip of "In too deep" on Nickelodeon. I was 7, and I was into Green Day at the time, and I thought their sound was great, so I went to the store and bought this album. At that time, I didn't realize how amzing this album was,...

All of it is Killer!

All Killer No Filler was the first cd I ever bought with my own money. It's always been a classic to me, from it's hilarious cover and parody songs, to it's memorable hooks and lyrics that a kid can relate to. As always, a band like Sum 41 is a target of unfair critisism such as "Man, this is...

great cd

all killer no filler is probably the best sum-41 album to date. AKNF has good guitar riffs and fast paced melodies throughout the cd to keep you listening. The best songs are All Shes Got, Handle This, and Motivation. If you want to listen to real music this is for you. Dont bother with the...
