i love george thorogood, so i certainly can't bash a concert i haven't even been able to see. the dvd i ordered from newbury_comics arrived in PAL format rather than NTSC rendering it unplayable on my dvd player(s). question the format before purchasing.

Thorogood is the coolest, but...
Something is missing from this DVD, George Thorogood's fanatastic guitar tone. I can see some modern Mesa amps onstage, that I think he's plugged into. Not sure but I'm guessing he is using different amps from the old days, becuase it's just not there. The other guy playing lead sounds good,...

This Concert ROCKS !!!!
I Definitly AGREE with Mike about the Behind the scene clips, but they are very short.The concert footage, though, DOE'S NOTHING BUT ROCK !!!! George & the Destroyers at there best!! The video and sound are superb

Will they ever learn?
The best way to ruin the live concert feel of a DVD is to intercut the performance with "extras". No matter how good the performance, interrupting the music with behind the scenes clips is one of the worst things you can do. The Paul McCartney "Back in the USA" DVD was rendered completely...
