Plastic in your food
The blade breaks off small pieces of plastic from inside the chopper and they get mixed in with the food. Completely not worth it. Buy a good knife instead.

Product fails to live up to its own description
I purchased this product in hopes that it would satisfy three requirements:(1) Be easy to chop vegetables(2) Be easy to use(3) Be easy to cleanThe Zyliss Food Chopper satisfied only one of my requirements; being easy to clean. The product descriptions states that it, "quickly cuts up fruit and...

Ok for chopping small amounts at a time
This chopper can only handle very small amounts at a time which can be frustrating. The cup can only hold about the size of a small fist if that. Blades are sharp, but it still requires a good amount of force to cut through tougher vegetables. The Zyliss was somewhat easy to clean assuming you...

Great for the price
This is a really great little chopper. The trick with any of these is to whack them hard and fast. You can chop much finer and evenly than if you used a knife. The only problem I've had is that the little plastic blade cover melted when it fell to the bottom of my dishwasher. It's about a three...

Happy Chopper
This chopper replaced one I'd had for years from Pampered Chef. It's a good design. Easy to use and clean. I use it right on the cutting board. It's great for salad toppings and any job that's too small for the Cuisinart: carrots, nuts, onions, cilantro, leftover veggies for soup, etc.

not for small jobs
I bought this to chop/ mince small amounts of garlic, onions, etc., and it's not very good for the purpose. It's impossible to chop two cloves of garlic because they'll stick to the blades and you spend a lot of time un-stuck-ing them. It's not worth the time and effort to use it. It's good...

Fast and even
This is by far one of my favorite kitchen utensils. I can dice, mince, etc. most vegetables so much faster and more evenly with this than I can with a chef's knife. Also, when I chop onions, I cry less with the chopper because the onions stay contained underneath the pastic so the fumes cannot...

Food Chopper - Zyliss
For being a manual food chopper I found this to be easy to use. It will chop it coarse or find depending upon how long you keep chopping it. It always comes out to my liking unlike some automatic choppers. If you have an automatic food processor you still need this for smaller jobs and better.

No no no no
Unlike the Zyliss "Transparent Rapid Food Chopper A-1" or the Zyliss "Comfort Chopper", this model's fatal flaws are the slanted sides and reduced footprint of the chopping blade. Even though they've tried to build in paddles that are intended to rotate the food between strokes, the fact is...
