At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

"All Around Great TV -- Cnet is right 720p looks as good as 1080p"
All around great screen. Got this as a second set. The screen itself is noticeably blacker than last year's models with nice contrast. Looks better than other plasmas, even up close. But, it doesn't have the cinematic "inky" blacks of my larger 50
PROS: Black Screen, Great Standard Def Performance
CONS: Lack of Video Controls, Looks and feels like an LCD at times

"Excellent television for the price."
I chose this set after reading many reiviews, combined for the wait for it to arrive on store shelves so I can see it in person. I purchased this set from Sears for $999.99 plus an additonal $100 in store savings last week. That is well below the M
PROS: Black levels are great, also glare reduction screen and ease of setup.
CONS: Color reproduction can use some work. However, for the price, you have to be prepared for some compromise.

Awful Noise Reduction from 12ft or less
I purchased this TV hoping that it would be live up to the stunning user reviews and put my Samsung DLP to shame. I was afraid I would not want to watch TV on my larger DLP after buying it. Unfortunately, the noise reduction if this unit is...

Great picture quality for the price
Price was a significant contributor to my decision to buy this TV. Conversations with tv-guys made me think that I needed to pony up for a 1080, but I just could not justify the premium over the 720p. Now that I have it, I am glad I saved my...

Incredible TV/ Monitor
Can't expand much more than the other 5 star reviews of this TV. It is everything I expected and more. Absolutely stunning audio and video. Best value I found after a good month of looking.

Very good value for money
For a small living room this is a perfect TV. 720p is very clear for 42'', doesn't really feel the need for 1080.
