Superb Plasma HD
I have had this TV for about three months now and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The picture quality is amazing especially using a DB2 antenna to get local digital channels. The side speakers produce very good sound quality....

"It's a good set but...."
Since the settings can't be adjusted for the buzzing sound, I can only give this average rating, if they ever fix this issue (not just my set) then they are worth a buy.
PROS: The set has above average color and depth. The price is right. Antiglare is very nice.
CONS: The buzzing sound. I've read a few articles about the buzzing sound from Panasonic, but it is really annoying. Any bright scene produces a high pitch buzz fromt he back of the set.

Don't have it yet, but would sure like to ... All I can say is that I saw this is person and it lived up to what I read here and on Consumer Reports where it was also highly rated.
PROS: Smooth screen, vivid colors.

Great - but shop around
I bought this set through Costco (it was cheaper so look around). I actually have the TH-42PC77U which is the same set but with an anti-glare screen. Depending on where you're putting it you might want to spend the extra $100.

"Truly excellent plasma tv!"
I got a great deal on this set for 799.99 on Black Friday 11/23/2007. I had it for almost three weeks now and it has exceeded my expectations! I went with plasma instead of LCD because of the better viewing angle. Since this set had antiglare coating

"A great plasma for any room"
Anti-glare screen really works well in rooms with a lot of ambient light. We have ours next to a set of glass doors and the the reflection is not troublesome at all.
PROS: Anti-glare screen
CONS: No side or front input/outputs
