Older plasma displays are notorious energy hogs compared to LCD panels . Walk by one that’s been on for a few hours and it almost feels like a Vermont wood stove in January. That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but owners know they do convert quite a bit

panasonic tc-p42s1 is an awesome hdtv plamsa
the tv itself is awesome. blu-ray and hdtv looks great and sd is not bad. ps3 also looks great. i would give this tv a 4.5 out of 5 and only because of the remote control. some of the buttons are to close to one another and they are easy to touch one
