PROS: Great picture. Nice TV if you don't use an adjustable antenna.
CONS: It is impossible to tune to digital broadcasts unless they have been found by the auto-scanning feature. The problem is that this process always ERASES previous channels from memory. This is AWEFUL if you have an antenna Rotator.

PROS: Arrived with a thin jagged scratch of about 2 1/2' . Due to the thinness, it was virtually impossible to see unless you are just a few inches away from the screen. I discovered the scratch when dusting a few weeks later.
CONS: Panasonic has you jump through hoops, but then won't resolve. Wants you to take a picture of the defect (thin scratch). Can't because plasmas are reflective. Won't send someone out. I must pay, plus they won't warranty "physical damage."

PROS: Nice design. Good features. Good colors after calibration. Good picture on standard definition. Lowest price point in lower end plasmas.
CONS: Color is off. Some softer images. After calibration your tv will be running almost 100 contrast which could lower tv's expected life.

PROS: Great blacks. Crisp picture. Easy-to-use. Sleek look. Above average sound from built-in speakers.
CONS: Uninspiring standard-def picture. Heavy.

DO NOT BUY A 50" SAMSUNG PLASMA TV. Any other brand looks as good but also shows your photos on the screen!

PROS: I love the TV. Great colors and contrast.
CONS: I AM COMPLETELY UNABLE TO VIEW PHOTOS I TAKE WITH MY DIGITAL CAMERA! It is a 10 megapixel camera. Apparently, Samsung is unable to show anything larger than 4 megapixels!
